Professor Chontzi Dai and colleagues at Stanford University, they have developed the first high performance aluminum ion battery, they are fast loading, long lasting and very cheap. The battery is slimmer and non-flammable, while the research team managed to generate 5 volts – enough to power a smartphone – using two aluminum batteries and an inverter.
