The Alice Barker age 102 years, was a dancer during the Renaissance of Harlem, between 1930 and 1940. He had appeared in clubs such as 'The Apollo', the “Cotton Club” and the “Zanzibar Club”, with legends like Frank Sinatra, the Gene Kelly and Bill Robinson.
Although she danced in several films, ads and tv shows, I had never seen herself on video, as all photos and other memorabilia were lost during the years. With the help of Mark Cantor, jazz page-on-film.com, members of her family were able to get their hands on the videos from that era. So, from her bed in a nursing home, the Alice Barker sees herself to dance for the first time.
