The artist Mat Collishaw built an unlikely Zoetrope (rotating still images that create the animated optical illusion) using a 3D printer. Based on the massacre of the innocents, a series of paintings of Peter Paul Rubens depicting the biblical story of the massacre of the innocents by Herod in Bethlehem. This wonderful project took approximately six months to complete, and contains 350 characters. The software used was mainly the 3DS Max and ZBrush.
