This timelapse video, shows the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into Butterfly-monarch (Danaus plexippus). The transformation takes place in several stages, the egg, the larva (Caterpillar), the nymph and Imago (last stage). The monarch butterfly is a migratory species, endemic in America. Transported twice a year per groups, covering more than 4.000 km.
