The impressive ypercheilistis Covão do Conchos Near the town of Portugal Gkoyarnta one can find the Covão do Conchos, a surreal spillway which is part of the dam Conchos, and gathers water from the river Naves. This impressive construction is part of the hydroelectric system of Serra da Estrela. Built in 1955, the weir diverts water from the river to the dam through a large 1519 meter long tunnel. In these beautiful aerial shots we can see the Covão do Conchos up close.
