Saturday 6 February 2016 in India, a man named Kamaraj found dead, as he drove the bus to the Bharathidasan University near Pantharapalya village. It is a mysterious explosion that left one dead and also caused three injuries on campus. In accordance with the principles, the explosion was caused by a meteorite, i.e. a piece of Comet or asteroid that hit the Earth's surface. Windows and the windshield of the bus and a water tank were destroyed by the explosion.
Seeing the crater formed at the point, researchers initially believed that this was a grenade or bomb. But they found no traces of explosive material in the region, Despite only rare bits of fossil. Indian authorities later confirmed the fall of the meteorite under.
The Kamaraj officially became the first person in the world who die from Meteor, at least one dramatic death. Experts from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, point out that it is more likely a man being hit simultaneously by a hurricane, Lightning and Tornado, rather than die from falling meteorite. The chances of being hit by a meteorite is about 1 in 125.000.
The unfortunate Indian was not the first to die of meteorite. Thousands of deaths have been recorded in history. In the 20th century about 20 people were killed and the world's population was about 4 billion. This means that in an 80-year life expectancy one has a whopping 1 in 250 million chance of being killed by a meteorite.. (Source: article by Sten Odenwald). Here is an attempt by some people to record the falls of meteorites, some of which have human casualties.: https://imca.cc/old_site/metstruck.html
