The first touch screen car appeared 29 years ago (1987), in American luxury Coupé Buick Riviera. Named by its makers as “graphical control center” (Graphic Control Center) in fact it was a monochrome ratio screen 4:3. Although primitive for current data, the system had a fairly extensive functionality, allowing the driver to easily check the route planner, the radio and air conditioning. Additionally had a diagnostic for the braking system, the drivetrain and electronic systems. Consumers at that time did not give great importance to touch screen, considering that it is unwieldy and distracting driving them. Three years later, 1990, the Buick system withdrew from the cars.
