A laser device is used to remove rust layer on a metal object. The laser beam will be converted to thermal energy when it comes into contact with the layer of rust and will eliminate.

The metal surface that has higher reflectance from the rust will be affected only slightly by laser. This method is faster and less tiring than using chemicals and abrasives. It also has the advantage of not creating dust.
