A father and his son recriminate a hunter for killing a deer The kid feels very bad about seeing the dead animal, and the father defends his son. The driver tells them that they probably buy meat on a daily basis at the supermarket to which they nod, then tells them that the meat of the supermarket is from animals that have suffered much more than the deer they just killed (and that they intend to eat), who were born in captivity and unhealthy living conditions. He tells the father that he should explain to his son that this is part of life. And then ... the thing gets a little out of control.
Base jumping catastrophe May 26, 2017 / Lauterbrunnen, Bern, Switzerland I started B.A.S.E. jumping 1 year ago. This was jump number 56. After the opening, I realized that some lines built a tension knot. I was not able to clear it, so the canopy started spinning and the vertical speed increased. Then I hit a tree, which probably saved my life. Unfortunately, the tree didn´t catch the canopy and I started falling again without being slowed down. I impacted on soft ground right next to rocks which probably had killed me if I had hit them.
Climber who was presumed dead in the Himalayas found with a Drone. Last Monday we reported on how mountaineer Rick Allen was successfully rescued, after being presumed dead, from Broad Peak (26,400 ft) in Pakistan. with help of a DJI Mavic Pro drone. Needless to say that everybody involved, is happy to report that Rick made it back to safety with only minor injuries. This is the latest, but far from the only, rescue mission in which a drone played a crucial role in saving someone's life. What sets this story apart though, are the extreme conditions (altitude and temperature) in which the DJI Mavic Pro was able to fly. From K2's basecamp, Bartek Bargiel who piloted the drone was able to answer some questions in a short interview with DroneDJ.

Cicada Saved From Bird Being an adult Cicada is a very dangerous life. There are many hazards to avoid from the time they come out of their long underground nymph stage. I often see Cicadas who have escaped a bird attack, sometimes they have a limb missing or damaged wings. The way Cicadas get around the constant threat of bird attack is by having huge populations so they outnumber their prey. But one short flight to freedom can spell the end of a life. Nature seems so cruel, but a bird needs to eat as well.

Georgia Officer Saves Choking Baby A Marietta police officer is being hailed as a hero, after performing life-saving measures for three minutes to help a choking two-month-old baby breathe again. "It was a joyous experience, I'll tell you that," Officer Nick St. Onge said about the ordeal, as he applied chest compressions and back blows for several minutes to dislodge what was blocking little Zeona's airway. On the evening of May 15, the baby's grandmother called 911 after the baby started choking and turning blue while feeding on a bottle. Officer Nick St. Onge arrived at the scene quickly before paramedics. "I had a panic attack... [saying]'Come on Zeona, come back to life... breathe baby,'" said Zeona's mother, CIAs Stovall, who tells us how she cried watching her baby in distress.
Drilling a hole in a living Egg… to save it Unless you know what you're doing, don't.
I have found a paper on 'safety holes'... very interesting. One could argue that chicks that are not strong enough to get out of the egg by themselves should not survive. I have a different opinion.
To me all life is precious. So if I can save a chick by helping it, I will. The 'safety holes' are used when incubating rear and endangered bird species. It increases the chances of survival in the fiercely process of hatching.
Yet one has to be extremely careful. It happens easily that a chick get's injured.
This video is about the hatching of my emu eggs, the second largest eggs in the world. (and the most beautiful ones :)
The first Emu chick got out all by himself. The second one needed a little help.

live painting show – lost the save "For those who do not understand, the girl here is one of the victims of the Sewol Ferry disaster. The ferry sank for some reason (google it) so that explains why towards the end of the video she was wearing a life vest and there was sound of water and she unfortunately, didn't survive.. Yesterday (16th April) was the anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster, so this video is kind of like a tribute to it. It's very heart-breaking." - Commentary by 'Gillian Chu'
TOURISTS (REMI GAILLARD) Yesterday I sent an aerial message above Carnon beach. According to the mayor : " it was an insulting banner to the tourists...some sort of aggressive and pitiful humor ".
Well yes it's humor, but what is pitiful to me is the rescue stations closing at 6:30pm when the beaches are still packed. And yesterday...humor might have saved a tourist's life.

The poorly pup was spotted roaming around the cold, snow-clad streets of Bucharest, Romania by a Ovidiu Rosu on January 11, who noticed that plastic had been wrapped around the dog’s neck Thankfully, after wading through a metre and a half of snow for six hours, the wild veterinary specialist was on hand to provide the damaged dog with a lifeline. After safely tranquilizing the neglected pooch, Ovidiu manages to slide a pair of scissors under the plastic before cutting it off revealing the severe damage underneath.
