Norwegian researchers from the University of Bergen University College decided to give an original dimension in their research. With the help of Director Adam Bartley, researchers have created a tiny track Pac-Man, where single-celled organisms behave like the famous yellow man trying to escape from rotifers – multi-celled organisms – which furiously seek to devour them.
He 3D Maze is observable through a transmission electron microscope, has a width of 1 mm and has been designed using nanotechnology. Professor Andrew Erik Johannessen, who is behind the program, explains that this approach enables the observation and study of the behavior of these organisms.
