Wearing a gas mask, but no other protective clothing, the 27 year old Explorer and photographer Wee Loong Keow, visited four of the ghost towns in Fukushima – Tomioka, Reading, Namie and Futaba – in June with his friends Sherena Ng and Koji Hori.
In March 2011, The Fukushima city suddenly evacuated when Japan's east coast was hit by a 9 Richter scale earthquake caused a huge tsunami. The pictures give Keow an eerie picture of the panic that followed the disaster, and the city is like it is stuck in time.
