Born on September 20, 1925 in Mejorada del Campo, in the suburb of Madrid in Spain, Justo Gallego Martínez is a self-taught builder-architect who became famous thanks to the cathedral he built almost exclusively on his own in 53 years in the Mejorada del Campo, a town on the outskirts of Madrid.

Brought up in a peasant family, He wanted to become a priest, but suffering from tuberculosis did not succeed. After treatment after eight years in a convent, decided to devote his life to building a cathedral on land he inherited from his father. The cathedral covers over 8.000 square meters, It has a length of over 50 meters and a height of almost 30 meters.

   We do not want anything. This is the most important and the most instructive doesn't want help this man and probably the very insulted if the help the State or the Church as being someone disabled. The only help they will ask me too (and we will have a result of structural stupidity) I was to leave the quiet.
