The Actibump is an automatic retarder that is only activated when a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. Its operation is simple: a radar calculates the speed of the vehicle. If the vehicle exceeds the stipulated speed, part of the pavement sinks down, creating
an acne. The driver will feel a Jolt that will remind him that moving too fast.

If the vehicle is below the speed limit, the retarder remains at the same level of the road and goes unnoticed. The Actibump was invented by the Swedish company AB Edeva and has already installed in various towns in Sweden (Linkoping, Uppsala, Malmö and the Öresund bridge).
